About Me

I'm just trying to get back to the basics. Fun, Food, Family and Nature. I want my family to respect nature, appreciate what they have and be as healthy as possible. No, we are not giving up our computers and televisions (I'm not crazy) but we are going to try to live healthier and do more for ourselves. We already hunt, fish, and do limited gardening (due to a lack of yard space). Now ... How can I push it further?

FOOD

I am currently eating Low Carb, Sugar-Free, and as Natural (Primal) as possible. I truly believe that the things they put in processed foods are not good for you. I still use a few processed ingredients in my cooking (until I find a good substitute), just not near as much as I used to. My kids are another story, they still want chips and candy. I'm all good with that, as long as it's not their main source of nutrition and they remain healthy and happy. I can't control what they eat at school or at friends houses but I try to feed them as healthy as possible at home. I will never try to force them to eat a certain way unless it's for their own good and a medical reason requires a change of diet. Everybody needs to do what makes them happy, whether I agree with it or not.

What works for me may not work for you!!!
Please do not preach to me about the way I eat ... and I will not yell at you.
